Helen Thielhelm of the Lackawaxen-Greeley, PA area, died Tuesday, March 23 in Ellen Memorial Home in Honesdale, PA. She was 88.
Daughter of Philip and Mary Elizabeth Murray McNulty, she was born June 15, 1910, in Weehawken, NJ. She was the widow of Harold Thielhelm. Survivors include two sons, Robert W. of Malaga, Spain and Dr. Philip of Marblehead, Mass; a daughter, Ann Snyder of Greensboro, NC; and nine grandchildren. A Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Greeley. The Rev. Michael Quinnan officiated. Burial was in St. Ann’s Cemetery in Shohola, PA. Ambrose “Uncle Amby” Thonning, a 46-year division manager in the Energy Supply Division of Con-Ed in New York City, died Sunday, December 15, 2002 at Julia Ribaudo Nursing Home in Lake Ariel. He was 94.
Son of the late Edward and Matilda Strubing Thonning, he was born July 22, 1908 in New York City. He was a member of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church in Shohola and was a member of the Lackawaxen Fire Department where he was head of the Health and Welfare Committee until he was 90. Survivors include a sister, Doris Johanson of Lackawaxen; nieces and nephews. A Mass of the Resurrection was held at St. Ann’s Church in Shohola. The Rev. David W. Cramer officiated. Tobin Jr., of Lumberland, NY died Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at his home. He was 66.
The son of the late John E. and the late Margaret Flaherty Tobin, he was born January 9, 1941 in Yonkers, NY. John was a retired electrical inspector and sales representative for Con Edison in Manhattan, NY. He was married to the late Adelaide Pierce Tobin, who died January 28, 1995. He is survived by a son, John E. Tobin III and wife Lisa of Middletown, NY; a daughter, Kelly Bleam and husband Chris of New Tripoli, PA; three brothers, Timothy P. Tobin of Mobile, AL, Thomas M. Tobin of Mystic, CT and James M. Tobin of Barryville, NY; two sisters, Sheila Farrell of Shohola, PA and Mary E. Smith of Bronxville, NY; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 21, 2007 at the Gray-Rasmussen Funeral Home, Barryville, with the Rev. Thomas Major officiating. Burial was at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Shohola, PA. Vincent Charles Toto, Jr, 85 of Shohola, PA passed away Monday, October 21, 2019 in Northern Riverview Nursing Home, W. Haverstraw, NY. He was a retired Sub Station Electrician for Orange & Rockland, Spring Valley, NY. Vincent was a member of the B.P.O.E. Lodge #2041, Pearl River, NY, Chelsea Hook and Ladder Co, Nyack, NY and a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.

Tucker of Yulan, a retired supervisor for Grolier Enterprises and a longtime resident of the area, died Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at her home. She was 77.
The daughter of the late Terrance and Eva McKeever, she was born September 7, 1929 in New York City. She was married to the late Michael Alexander O’Connor and the late Noel L. Tucker. She was a member of St. Anthony’s R.C. Church, Yulan and attended St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Shohola, Pa. She was also a member of the Eldred Seniors Club and AARP. A family statement said, “Patricia was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.” Survivors include her three sons, Kevin O’Connor of Yulan, Richard Tucker and his wife, Jean, and Glenn I. Tucker, all of Honesdale, Pa.; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; several nieces and one nephew. She was predeceased by a son, Michael O’Connor Tucker; three sisters, Rosemary Nolan, Ellen Moser and Sister Ruth McKeever; and two brothers, Terrance and Paul McKeever. A memorial service was held Monday at St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Shohola, Pa. The Rev. Thomas Major officiated. Burial of the cremains in Sullivan County Veterans’ Cemetery will be private.
