Jeannette Davis of Highland Lake died unexpectedly Thursday morning, June 25, 2009.
She was born June 4, 1964 to Thomas and Jeannette Mims of Waldwick, NJ. She was married March 12, 1988 to Orson Davis Jr.; they were married for twenty one years. Later, they had two beautiful daughters: Heather Lynne (19), and Caitlin Mary (15).
She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Her husband would like to thank her for being by his side through the ups and downs, and giving him two lovely daughters.
She was assistant coach for the Eldred cheerleading team and a Girl Scout leader, both activities her daughters took a great part in. Jeannette would help anyone in need, and never asked for anything in return. She was a great wife, mother and true friend.
She is predeceased by her sister, Diana and her father. She thought the world of and spoke highly of her uncle, John Macejka and her aunt, Mary Ann Logalbo. She leaves behind a sister, Dawn Mims of Barryville; two brothers, Kenneth Mims and his wife, Angela of Greeley, PA and Thomas Mims and his wife, Patti of San Jose, CA; five nieces: Melissa, Kristen, Kelly, Alainna and Hannah, and three nephews: Jason, Kristoper and Thomas III.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 2, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and 11:30 am to 12:30 p.m., Friday, July 3, at the Harrison-Rasmussen Funeral Home, Barryville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 3, at — p.m. at St. Anns R.C. Church, Shohola, PA, with Father Thomas Major officiating. Burial of the cremains will be at Montoza Cemetery in Eldred at a later date.

Robert L. Davis
Robert L. Davis, a lifelong area resident, died Saturday, January 4, 2003 at Bronx VA Medical Center, Bronx, NY. He was 68.
The son of the late Robert and Ruth F. Williams Davis, he was born in Cahoonzie, NY. Retired from Spark-O-Matic, he was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of St. Patrick’s R.C. Church of Milford.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Ryan Deehan Davis at home; five sons, Ryan Davis of Shohola, Andrew Deehan of Davie, FL; Timothy Deehan of Lexington, KY, Robert Deehan of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY; and Michael Deehan of Mill Rift; one brother, Dwight E. Davis of Port Jervis, one sister, Catherine H. Kahrs of Sparrowbush, NY; one grandson, Andrew Robert Deehan; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Kahrs.
Services were held at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home in Port Jervis followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at St. Patrick’s R.C. Church in Milford officiated by Rev. Gerald Mullaly.
Burial was in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Shohola.
