Lowell Edward "Ed" Collette
Shohola, Pa. Lowell Edward "Ed" Collette of Shohola, a retired carpenter with Kolmar Labs, Port Jervis and resident of the area for most of his life, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, in Bon Secours Community Hospital. He was 69. The son of the late Glen and Anna Collette, he was born May 15, 1931, in Fairmount, Ind. Mr. Collette was a member and caretaker at St. Ann's R.C. Church, Shohola, Pa.; and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Doris Brennan Collette, at home; one son, Kyle Collette and his wife, Theresa of Spring Lake, N.C.; one daughter, Pamelia Long and her husband, Brian of Port Jervis; three stepdaughters, Sue Casey and her husband, Frank and Bette Pike and her husband, Church, all of Milford, Pa. and Donna Taylor and her husband, Scott of Port Jervis; 10 grandchildren, who said "God now has the best grandfather in heaven."; local brothers and sisters, Harold Collette of Sparrowbush, Richard Collette of Buffalo, Gary Collette, Gene Collette and Glenna Ryder, all of Matamoras, Pa. and Jacqueline Rau of Port Jervis; other brothers and sisters out of state; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, at the Gray-Rasmussen Funeral Home, Route 97, Barryville. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7, in St. Ann's R.C. Church, Shohola, Pa. The Rev. David W. Cramer will officiate. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Shohola, Pa. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Ann's R.C. Church, Shohola, Pa. 18458. Arrangements were made by Gray-Rasmussen Funeral Home, Barryville.
