Joseph H. Clark
Joseph H. Clark of Lake Ariel, PA, former resident of Lackawaxen, PA for 49 years, died on July 13, 2007. He was 85.
The son of the late Mary Kestler and William F. Clark, he was born in Lackawaxen.
Joseph was married to the late Eva G. (Ernst) Clark, who died in 1995, for 47 years. He was a construction laborer who retired in 1994. He was also a chicken farmer in Pike County for many years. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He was a member of St Ann’s RC Church, Shohola, PA and a member of the Laborers’ Local #158, Harrisburg, PA.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Balmer of Hawley, PA; a granddaughter, Kathleen Conklin of Lackawaxen; a sister, Patricia McKean of Clarksville, VA; twin great-granddaughters, Alora and Alayna; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased in death by two sisters, Bertha Gemp and Gertrude Christian; and four brothers, Bernard, William, Thomas and Mickey.
Funeral services were held at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 18, 2007. The Reverend Richard W. Beck, pastor, officiated. Private cremation was held at the Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
