Virginia Steffenhagen, 85, of Matamoras, Pa., passed away Monday, April 23, 2007 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, N.Y. The daughter of the late Percy and Helen DeLee Delanoy, she was born on April 10, 1922 in White Plains, N.Y. She was married to the late Charles Steffenhagen. She was a retired switchboard operator for New York Telephone Co., White Plains, N.Y. She was a member of St. Ann's Church, Shohola, Pa., Marsch Kellogg American Legion Post, Ladies Auxillary, Milford, Pa. Virginia volunteered for the Pike County Area Agency on Aging, helping in many ways including delivering meals on wheels. Survivors include her sister, Constance DeFrancesco Dapkins of Shohola, Pa.; two brothers, Percy E. Delanoy of Elmsford, N.Y. and Joseph J. Delanoy of White Plains, N.Y.; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, William T. and Robert E. Delanoy and two sisters, Irene E. Ponsch and Kaye M. Reagan. Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home on Thursday and Friday, April 26 and 27, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann's Church, Shohola, Pa. on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Thomas Major officiating. Burial will take place in Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y. at the convenience of the family.
