Marilyn Diane Rendolic
Marilyn Diane Rendolic, 51, of Tannersville, Pa., passed away on March 14, 2002, at Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg, Pa. Born on August 4, 1950, in Callicoon, she was the daughter of Eugene and the late Joan (Halpern) Carroll. She was bonded with the government as a Pennsylvania Notary and worked for Congressman Rangel for credits in New York University. Prior to that, she was a partner with her husband, Nichola Rendolic, in Nick's Carpentry, a construction business in Shohola, Pa., for 20 years. Before working at Nick's Carpentry, she owned and operated a babysitting service in New York City for 12 years, and ran Excel Employment Agency, with 22 employees and had a labor department license in the 1980s. She operated an apartment complex, with Nick, that had 29 employees and 300 tenants, she owned and operated a 35-unit apartment complex in the Bronx and three houses in Roland, Pa. She owned another corporation called French Way Trucking, Rendolo Corp. During her 22 years of Residency in Shohola, Pa., Pike County, she worked for the Shohola Fire Company for six years, had her CPR First Responder's and E.M.T. licenses, and she was a member and the president of the PTA in the Delaware Valley School District for 4 years. She also raised cows, lambs, pigs, geese, cats, dogs and family. She was a resident of Monroe County for the past year and a half. In addition her husband, she is survived by her father, Eugene Carroll; her companion, James E. Messler Jr. of Tannersville, Pa.; her daughter, Christina Diane Rendolic of Stroudsburg, Pa., and her son, Nicholas Rendolic of Canada. She is also survived by three brothers, Tom Carroll of Texas, Glen Carroll of Washington and Craig Carroll of Demarest, N.J.; and two sisters, Lynn Geise of Newburgh and Jean Marie Carroll of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, at St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church in East Stroudsburg with Mgr. John A. Bergamo as celebrant. There will be visitation for family and friends from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, March 18, at Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington St., East Stroudsburg, Pa. Burial will take place following the service in St. Ann's German Hill Cemetery in Shohola, Pa. Arrangements made through Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, East Stroudsburg, Pa.
