Robert F. Paterson, of Shohola, PA and longtime resident of the area, passed away on Friday Feb. 17, 2012 at Manor Care, Kingston, PA. He was 78 years old.
The son of the late Robert and Gladys Jacobus Paterson, he was born in Jersey City, NJ on March 26, 1934
Robert served in the United States Navy. He was a retired supervisor for a trucking company. He was a member of St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Shohola, PA. He was married for 45 years to the late Dorothy Hansen Paterson.
A Family statement read” Robert was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. Like his late wife, he loved to feed the animals. He liked to build model ships, loved bowling and enjoyed music. He was a good man that will greatly be missed.”
He is survived by his children Patricia Terranova and her husband Ralph of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, Joseph Krywicki and his wife Aida of Lodi, NJ and Cheryl Paterson of Kingston, PA. 12 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday February 23, 2012 from 10:00am to 11:30am at the Harrison Rasmussen Funeral Home, Barryville, NY.. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 12:00noon at St. Ann’s R.C. Church Shohola., PA. Father Thomas Major will officiate. Christian Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Dorothy L. Paterson
Dorothy L. Paterson of Shohola, PA, a longtime resident of the area, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2011 at Osprey Ridge Healthcare Center, Carbondale, PA. She was 84.
The daughter of the late Wilfred and Effie Schmidt Hansen, she was born in Jersey City, NJ on March 15, 1926.
A family statement reads, in part:” Dorothy was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to feed the animals and was called the “Deer Lady.” She had a good heart and will greatly be missed.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert Paterson; children Patricia Terranova and husband Ralph of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, Joseph Krywicki and wife Aida of Lodi, NJ and Cheryl Paterson of Kingston, PA; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Dorothy is predeceased by her son Gregory Krywicki.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday, February 10 from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at Harrison Rasmussen Funeral Home, Barryville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 10 at 10 a.m. at St. Ann’s R.C. Church, Shohola. Christian Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
