John Richard Muldowney, Jr.
John Richard Muldowney, Jr. of Lake Worth, FL, formerly of Ridgewood, NJ, died July 12, 2008. He was 68. Born in Brooklyn, NY he was raised in Bergenfield, NJ. John graduated from Rutgers University and had an extensive career in accounting as a CPA. He was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Elizabeth; his children, two sons, John Richard III, Patrick Arne and daughter, Randi Anne; two brothers, Joseph of Lincroft, NJ and Edward of Haverstraw, NY and six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many loved ones.
A funeral service was held on July 16 at St. Anne Church in Shohola, PA; burial followed immediately. Donations would be greatly appreciated to The American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312
John R. Muldowney
John R. Muldowney of Barryville, a retired certified public accountant and a longtime area resident, died Monday, June 4, 2001, at the Regency Park Nursing Center. He was 92 years of age.
The son of the late Thomas and Catherine Thane Muldowney, he was born April 3, 1909, in Scranton, Pa.
Mr. Muldowney was a lifetime member of the American Institute of CPAs, a lifetime member of New York Society of CPAs, a member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Lackawaxen Missions Men's Club. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving as a Lieutenant junior grade.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Muldowney of Barryville; three sons, John Muldowney of West Palm Beach, Fla., Joseph Muldowney of Lincroft, N.J., and Edward Muldowney of Barryville; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy Byrnes Muldowney, who died April 27, 1980.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ann's R .C. Church in Shohola, Pa., with Father David W. Cramer officiating.
Burial will be made in St. Ann's Cemetery in Shohola, Pa.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Gray-Rasmussen Funeral Home in Barryville.
