John W. Haberzettl
John W. Haberzettl, 78, of Greeley, Pike County, died Friday, January 21, 2000 in the VNA Hospice at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the husband of the late Pauline (Matos) Haberzettl.
A graduate of St. Francis College, Brooklyn, he was a forms control supervisor for GTE for many years before retiring in 1983.
Born in Brooklyn, he was a son of the late Carl and Flora (Wirth) Haberzettl.
He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Bethlehem.
He was a past president of the Holy Name Society at St. Barbara's Catholic Church, Brooklyn, and Eucharistic minister for St. Anne's Catholic Church, Shohola, Pike County.
He was a past president of the Laxawan Missions Men's Club.
Survivors: Sons, Paul K. of Berwick, Maine, and Edward S. of Dingmans Ferry , Pike County; daughters, Christine of Laxawan, Pa., Cecilia A. of Pottstown, Maggie F. Matos of Monroe, N.Y., Kateri T. Henkel of Herkimer, N.Y., and Barbara F. Fiore of Bethlehem; brother, Carl of Long Island, N.Y., 22 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Jack. W.
Services: 6 p.m. Sunday, Notre Dame Catholic Church, Bethlehem. Call 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem.
