James P. Geelan of Rowland, PA, a retired carpet layer with NY District Carpenters Union Local 2287, and a 10-year area resident, died Tuesday, February 15, 2000, at Mercy Hospital in Port Jervis. He was 70. Son of Michael Geelan and Mona Agnew Geelan, he was born August 30, 1929, in New York City. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Geelan, at home; a son, Michael of Virginia; two daughters, Annie Davis of Chicago, IL and Kathleen Blitzer of Rowland; two sisters, Ursula Badillo of Florida and Barbara Gannon of Texas; nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass was offered at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Shohola, PA. The Rev. Thomas Jones officiated. Burial was in St. Ann’s Cemetery in Shohola.
