Charles Gallagher, 38, of Shohola, PA, died Saturday, July 3, 2004 at Mountain Rest Nursing Home, Scranton, PA. He was a self-employed contractor in the Shohola-Barryville area for 15 years and later was a capenter for Empire State Carpenters Union, Local 11, Westchester County, NY. He was a graduate of Delaware Valley High School, Class of 1985. He was a 22 year member of the Shohola Fire Department, serving as a member of the Interior Attack Squad. He was a member of the Yulan Rod and Gun Club, Yulan, NY and a life member of the N.R.A. Charles was an avid hunter and an accomplished bow hunter. The son of Robert and Elizabeth Boyes Gallagher, he was born on May 10, 1966 in New Brunswick, NJ. He was married to Christine Poillon-Gallagher. Survivors include his wife; his son, Robert Jake Gallagher at home; his father, Robert F. Gallagher of Shohola, PA; one brother, Robert G. Gallagher of Lackawaxen, PA; two sisters: Jann Pennello of Lyndhurst, NJ and Elizabeth Gallagher-Hermstedt of Clementon, NJ, also several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann's Church, Shohola, PA on Thursday, July 8, 2004 at 10 a.m. Rev. Thomas Petro will officiate. Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, PA on Wednesday, July 7, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will take place in Milford Cemetery, Dingman Township, PA.
