Loraine E. Braun
Loraine E. Braun of Shohola, Pa., died Sunday, April 21, 2002, at Newton Memorial Hospital in Newton, N.J. She was 72. The daughter of the late Morris and Helen E. Pierce June, Mrs. Braun was also predeceased by her husband, George A. Braun, on January 29, 2001. Born in Hackettstown, N.J., Mrs. Braun resided in Andover Township for 30 years before retiring to Shohola, Pennsylvania, with her husband in 1995. A graduate of Hackettstown High School, Mrs. Braun was a homemaker, and a member of St. Ann's R.C. Church in Shohola. She is survived by three daughters, Karen Braun of Andover Township; Mary Pach of Andover Township and Elizabeth Braun of Lake Hopatcong; three sons, Timothy Braun of Miami, Fla.; Jeffrey Braun of Buckeye, Ariz. and David Braun of Dingmans Ferry, Pa. and four grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, N.J. Funeral Liturgy will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 25, at St. Ann's R.C. Church in Shohola, Pa. Arrangements were made by Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, New Jersey.
George A. Braun
George A. Braun of Shohola, Pa, a retired diesel mechanic for American Stone Mix, Kenvil, N.J., and recent worker at Midtown Exxon, Shohola, Pa., died Monday, Jan. 29, 2001 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis. He was 74. The son of the late George G. and Mary Wilson Braun, he was born on July 25, 1926, in West Orange, N.J. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Korea Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Loraine (June) Braun, of 46 years; three daughters, Karen Braun of Andover Township, N.J., Mary Pach of Andover Township, N.J., and Elizabeth Braun of Lake Hopatcong, N.J.; three sons, Timothy Braun of Miami, Fla., Jeffrey Braun of Buckeye, Ariz., and David Braun of Dingman Township, Pa; one sister Beatrice Odgers of Palm City, Fla; and four grandchildren. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, Pa. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, at the Stroyan Funeral Home. Deacon Glen Biagi will officiate. Final interment will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, German Hill, Shohola, Pa., at the convenience of the family. Arrangements under the direction of Stroyan Funeral Home, Milford, Pa.
