Christopher Andrew Bartsch
Christopher Andrew Bartsch of Shohola, Pa., a fourth grade student at Shohola Elementary School and a lifelong area resident, died Wednesday, July 18, 2001, at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa. He was 10 years of age.
The son of Kathleen Mazellan Bartsch and the late Andrew "Andy" Bartsch, he was born December 19, 1990, in Honesdale, Pa.
Christopher was a member of St. Ann's R.C. Church in Shohola, Pa., the Shohola Rod and Gun Club, the Delaware Valley Babe Ruth Baseball and PAYAL football teams.
In a family statement, it was said, "Chris' enjoyments were hunting, fishing, football, playing baseball with his brother, Brian, bike riding with his sister Jessica and just being with his cousins and friends."
He is survived by his mother, a brother, Brian Bartsch and a sister, Jessica Bartsch, all at home; his paternal grandparents, Frederick and Ingrid Bartsch of Greeley, Pa.; his maternal grandfather, Jack Mazellan of South Plainfield, N.J.; two great-grandmothers, Gertrude Bartsch and Hedwig Neuhaus, both of Greeley, Pa.; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Friends may call at the Shohola Fire Hall in Shohola, Pa., on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m.
A memorial service will be held at the fire hall at 4 p.m. on Saturday with Father David W. Cramer officiating.

Funeral arrangements were made by the Gray-Rasmussen Funeral Home in Barryville.
