John F. Armand
John F. Armand of Highland Lake, president of John F. Armand Construction Co. in New York City and a longtime area resident, died Thursday, April 13, 2000 in Macungie, PA. He was 79.
Son of the late Francis M. and Edna Colligan Armand, he was born December 3, 1920 in New York City. He was the widower of Regina M. Lynch Armand.
He was a member of St. Ann’s R.C. Church in Shohola, PA; the Lackawaxen Mission Men’s Club of the church; Highland Lake Fire Department; and past president of the Lake Devenoge Property Owner’s Association.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Ann Schmidt and husband Peter of Montreal, Canada and Jeanne-Marie Maiale and husband Nicholas of Emmaus, PA; and six grandchildren, Lisa, Anne and Christina Maiale and Matthew, Megan and William Schmidt.
A Mass of the Resurrection was offered at St. Ann’s R.C. Church in Shohola. The Rev. Michael Quinnan officiated. Burial was in St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Eldred.
