Peter R. Ammendola
Peter R. Ammendola, of Narrowsburg, NY a union carpenter, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 15, 2013 at his home. He was 49.
The son of the Robert John and Teresa Ruggiero Ammendola, he was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 25, 1963.
Peter was a member of St. Ann's Church, Shohola, PA. He was a member of the Hudson Valley Carpenters Union. He volunteered and participated annually with river clean up with Kittatinny Canoes, Barryville, NY.
A family statement reads: "Peter was a loving husband, father and grandfather and friend. He was an active outdoors man, who loved to hunt, fish and scuba dive. He was a talented in his trade as a carpenter. His granddaughters were the pride and joy of his life. He died too young, he will truly be missed and he will live in our hearts forever."
Peter is survived by his wife of 22 years, Andrea Falkenburg Ammendola; his son, Peter Ammendola II of Narrowsburg; his stepson, Christopher Ramm of New Jersey; his two granddaughters: Amber Lynn Ramm and Mia Ammendola; his parents, Robert John and Teresa Ammendola of Hawley, PA; two sisters: Patricia Biondo of Long Island, NY, Maria Ammendola of Barryville, NY and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Peter is predeceased by his Aunt Patti Ammendola.
Friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, November 18th at the Harrison Rasmussen Funeral Home in Barryville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19th at St. Ann's Church, Shohola, PA; the Rev. Thomas Major will officiate. Christian burial will be in Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY.
